Rebuild Update:

Locomotive 1003 is being restored to operate for another 15 years. This extensive project will cost close to $400,000. Work is approximately 90 % complete with an approved FRA inspection in place after boiler retubing. Effort continues on the running gear and reassembly.

DONATIONS: Restoration has been supported by many, including William Gardner, our primary rebuild contributor. Your donation toward the SOO LINE 1003 RESTORATION fund will continue to support the above work, remaining procurement of parts and materials, labor and final assembly.
