Rebuild Update: Locomotive 1003 is being restored to operate for another 15 years. This extensive project will cost close to $400,000. Work is approximately 90 % complete with an approved FRA inspection in place after boiler retubing. Effort continues on the running gear and reassembly. DONATIONS: Restoration has been supported by many, including William Gardner, our primary rebuild contributor.
